Transfer Credit

Please email Enrollment Services at upbacct@pitt.edu to request an evaluation of how credits will transfer from your previous institution. 

Courses with a C grade or higher are considered for individual transfer—75% of the total hours required for degree completion. For a B.S. or B.A., the normal requirement is 90 credits. The University will evaluate and grant credit based on course equivalencies, including expected learning outcomes, with the University's curriculum and standards.

In addition, a student may not repeat a course elsewhere after earning a grade in that equivalent course at the University of Pittsburgh.
