About Us

The mission of Hanley Library reflects that of the University of Pittsburgh's Bradford Campus. Our goal is to provide the resources necessary to support the University's goals in the "pursuit of understanding and knowledge," to represent the "diversity and intellectual freedom" the University supports, and to assist in promoting and instructing the "life-long learning" skills of information gathering and research. As part of the University Library System "...our mission lies in locating, organizing, preserving, and making accessible the resources that are the basis for scholarly reflection and the introduction of new knowledge and wisdom" through the effective use of electronic and print resources.
