Short Bio
Ty is from the Allegany Seneca Territory in Salamanca, New York, he attended Jamestown Community College and Clarion University. After his time at JCC and Clarion, Ty continued his education at the University of Pittsburgh at Bradford, where he earned teaching certification in Health and Physical Education for grades K–12.
During his time as a student, he helped Bret Butler establish the university’s lacrosse programs. Ty was selected for the NCAA Division III Student Immersion Program and chosen to participate in the inaugural Native Student Athlete Summit. Additionally, his story was featured in a documentary produced by the Pitt Mains Magazine team, which led to a regional Emmy nomination.
