The Pitt-Bradford Staff Association is pleased to announce the creation of Panther Partners. The program, which was created by the Association’s Staff Welfare Committee, pairs current staff members with new employees to provide mentoring and guidance throughout their first few months on campus. The goal is to enhance onboarding of new employees, increase meaningful staff connections across departments, and strengthen our overall work culture.

For those individuals who are new to the Bradford area, their Panther Partner will help acclimate them to the community and provide helpful tips on local resources, shopping options and entertainment. The initiative will also help introduce new employees to the Staff Association and the benefits and services it provides.

Eleven current staff members have generously volunteered to serve as a partner and are working with new employees who started this summer or fall. New staff members can request to join the program, which is voluntary, and will be paired with a partner on a rolling basis, based on their start date.

The Staff Welfare Committee’s mission is to promote the health, safety, and security of all members of the University community. The committee is focused on creating a working environment where staff members feel welcome, supported, and confident.

If you are interested in becoming a Panther Partner or are a new employee who wants to join the program, please contact Mary Grace Collier-Kisler, chair of the Staff Welfare Committee at mac1257@pitt.edu
