Freelance Photographer

The University of Pittsburgh at Bradford is looking for talented freelance photographers to help capture the life, energy, and spirit of our campus. From athletic competitions and alumni celebrations to campus beauty shots and special events, your images will help us tell the Pitt-Bradford story.

This is a contract position running through June 30, 2026, with the possibility of a two-year renewal. Work will be on an as-needed basis.

What we’re looking for:

• Proficient photography skills and equipment for a variety of situations — from bright outdoor settings to low-light indoor events and fast-paced action.
• Experience working with people — directing subjects when needed, getting permissions, and blending in during events so you’re part of the moment, not a distraction.
• Proficiency in Photoshop or similar editing software.
• Reliability and professionalism — you’ll be representing Pitt-Bradford whenever you’re on assignment.

When you’ll work:

Most assignments take place between mid-August and early May, with a mix of weekday daytime shoots (often with one week’s notice) and special events on evenings or weekends. Some days may require 10–12 hours on your feet.

What you’ll deliver:

• Edited, high-resolution digital photographs.
• Quick turnaround — within 24 hours for weekday events and Commencement; 48 hours for weekend events (unless otherwise arranged).
• Pitt-Bradford will have unlimited/exclusive usage rights to all images.

Where you’ll work:

Most assignments will be on the Pitt-Bradford campus, but occasionally you may travel within the region to photograph students or alumni at other locations.
