How to Apply as an International Student

Application Deadlines

Fall semester (August start): June 1
Spring semester (January start): October 15
All required materials must be received by these dates.

We are glad you are considering Pitt-Bradford!

The steps below will guide you through the international admissions process. Please read each step carefully and reach out to our Office of Admissions if you have questions.

  1. Complete the Free Online Application
Submit your application through the University of Pittsburgh online application portal. There is no application fee.
  2. Submit Your Academic Records

Please provide all of the following:

  • Official secondary school records for grades 9–12 (transcripts, marksheets, certificates, and examination results, including any national or state examinations required in your country). If your secondary record only covers grades 10–12, please also submit your third-year middle school transcripts.
  • Literal English translations of any records not originally in English.
  • An official transcript evaluation from a Pitt-approved evaluation service. Depending on the service you choose, you may be able to send your records directly to them and they will forward everything to us.
  1. Submit SAT or ACT Scores (if applicable)
If you have taken the SAT or ACT, please submit your scores. If you have tested more than once, we encourage you to send all results — we will superscore your results, combining your highest scores across all test dates. We also require a writing score. Official scores must be sent directly from the testing agency using the codes below:
    • SAT code: 2935
    • ACT code: 3731
  2. Submit English Proficiency Test Results (if required)
Official TOEFL, IELTS, or Duolingo English Test results are required for most international applicants. Exceptions to this requirement are listed near the bottom of that web page.
  3. Submit College or University Transcripts (if applicable)
If you have earned college or university credits prior to enrolling at Pitt-Bradford, you must also provide:
    • Official post-secondary transcripts and, if not in English, literal translated versions along with an official evaluation (see Step 2 for approved services).
    • An official course catalog and/or syllabi for all courses completed at a college or university outside the U.S., including complete course descriptions for courses you have completed or plan to complete. If these materials are not in English, an English translation must be submitted.
Important: Pitt-Bradford does not accept or recognize transfer credit evaluations conducted by other colleges or universities.
