We believe in the personal and professional value of creativity. The goal of the Interdisciplinary Arts major is to encourage and develop individuals who are deeply arts-aware; who investigate, problem-solve, assess, communicate, and present effectively; and who have clear, compelling insight into how the arts define and sustain our society. Students learn to negotiate between and connect across a variety of fields in the arts.
What will I learn?
The Interdisciplinary Arts major at Pitt-Bradford provides students with a cross-curricular education in the arts that emphasizes creative problem solving and investigation. The program explores thematic and structural relationships between the fine and performing arts through a combination of theoretical inquiry, co-creative projects, and experiential learning.

Arts AwarenessThis arts seminar course encourages an integrated exploration and analysis of the arts. The course is taught in the hybrid format in which students attend a weekly seminar, engage in online course activities, and attend arts events. An important focus of the course is on various interdisciplinary approaches to the arts. Several events are made available for the students each term through the college's spectrum series. -

Digital Photography IThis course is an introduction to digital photography and imaging. Emphasis will be placed on digital applications, processes, and concepts in the production of a body of contemporary photographic inquiry. A digital camera is required. GE: Arts
In addition to the major’s requirements, you’ll choose two emphasis areas: studio art or digital graphic design, music, theater or creative writing.
