WHY STUDY COMPUTER INFORMATION SYSTEMS AND TECHNOLOGY?

Careers in this field are in great demand and typically pay well. In fact, U.S. News & World Report ranked several computer-related jobs on the 100 Best Jobs list of 2020. Topping the list at #1 was software developer. Computer IT managers 12th, database administrators 30th, web developers 23rd and system analysts was ranked 53rd.

WHAT WILL I LEARN?

You'll learn about programming applications, network development, systems design and analysis, Web technologies, multimedia applications, database development and systems administration. And, you’ll get hands-on experience. Our students have developed a job-searching data visualization app, 2D and 3D games and a self-driving model car.

PROGRAM highlights

 

 

Degree and money

Distinction one:

Incoming CIS&T students will be considered for special merit scholarships, each worth $3,000 a year and renewable for a maximum of three years.

Distinction two:

Each CIS&T student must complete at least one internship as well as an applied research/development capstone project.

Money

Distinction three:

Our graduates’ average starting salaries are between $50,000 and $60,000.
