The Office of Admissions will hold an open house for prospective students and their families on Jan. 19.
The open house will begin at 12:30 p.m. in the Frame-Westerberg Commons with an opportunity to speak with faculty from across campus. Students and their families will also attend academic, financial aid and admissions presentations.
Additionally, students can meet coaches, tour campus and learn about student life, academics, admissions and financial aid.
Representatives from the Housing Office and the Seneca Battalion Army ROTC will also be available to answer questions.
Dr. Mark Kelley, assistant professor of exercise science, will discuss college academics. Following the talk, breakout sessions will be held for prospective students in different stages of the admissions process, including juniors just beginning their search, those that have already applied, those who have not yet applied, those who were accepted through the Pittsburgh campus, and those wishing to transfer.
This is the last open house planned for the 2018-19 academic year, but those who cannot attend can attend other scheduled admissions events, such as First Friday on Feb. 1.
First Friday begins 10 a.m. and include a presentation, a campus tour with a Student Ambassador and lunch in the KOA Dining Room.
Advance registration is requested. For more information or to register, contact admissions at 800-872-1787 or visit www.upb.pitt.edu/visit/.
