Community Engagement Office

  • Community Service

  • The Office of Community Engagement (OCE) works with both students and community partners to create meaningful and purposeful community service opportunities.  While responding to the needs of the community, students learn about social, cultural, and economic issues.  Emphasis is placed on the reciprocity and mutual respect between those served and those who are serving.  Many students at Pitt-Bradford volunteer their time in the Bradford community and beyond.  Students can volunteer as individuals or as a part of a larger student group or organization.  We can work with you and your organization to connect you with our community partners and service projects that are compatible with your interests and goals.  The OCE also helps to plan alternative spring break trips and coordinates large-scale community volunteer efforts.

Here are just a few of the programs we offer to students:

    • United Way Day of Action
    • Make a Difference Day
    • Martin Luther King, Jr. Day of Service
    • Big Brothers Big Sisters "Big for a Day"
    • 30 Hour Famine Fundraiser for World Hunger
    • Habitat for Humanity Alternative Spring Break Trip
    • Leadership Development Series
    • Annual Leadership and Service Awards Ceremony
