A Caryl Churchill Double-Bill — GLASS: A girl made of glass sits upon a shelf.  Her family thinks she is to be looked at but not touched.  The girl knows this is not how the world works, but her shelf-mates — Vase, Plastic Dog, Clock — are no help.  She'll have to figure this out herself.  WHAT IF IF ONLY: What if things had been different?  A man asks that question too often, too intensely, and suddenly all the possible futures rush in shouting "Pick me! Pick me!"  Caryl Churchill is one of the greatest living playwrights, and her recent short plays are provocative, elliptical, sly, heartbreaking, and supremely theatrical.
