Monday / Wednesday 10 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.
Tuesday/Thursday 9 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.
Friday 10:00 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Evening drop-in for Spring Semester 2013 Tues - Wed - Thurs - Sunday
What to expect when you come into the Center:
Your consultant will greet you and have you log in and fill out a quick visit form stating what kind of help you are looking for. The consultant then asks questions about your assignment. It is important, if at all possible, to bring your assignment sheet to the visit so your consultant can help you evaluate whether you are meeting the requirements of the assignment. Bring your draft at any stage, or just come with ideas you'd like to talk through as you begin your writing assignment.
Visits normally last 30 minutes, although ESL students and other students who feel they need more time are encouraged to sign up for two sessions in a row if they choose. Please do not schedule more than two sessions in one day.
Your consultant will help you evaluate your paper for thesis, organization, content, structure, and how you are meeting the requirements of the assignment. We will also help you clean up your citations, reference of works cited pages, and meet the requirements of the citation style. We identify and discuss with you your pattern errors so you can begin to become your own best editor and proofreader, too.
See our Mission Statement for further details.
