If you are a qualified veteran or survivor of a veteran, the Registrar, located in Enrollment Services, is available to assist you in filling out the required forms to initiate veterans' educational benefits under the GI Bill®, and V.A. Vocational-Rehabilitation.
Information and printable forms regarding Veterans' Education Benefits and the GI Bill®, are available at the Department of Veterans Affairs website, http://www.gibill.va.gov. After the Department of Veterans Affairs approves a student's eligibility, and after the school certifies the student's enrollment, benefits are paid directly to the student after the end of each month.
Procedures for New Applicants for VA Education Benefits
All new applicants for VA Education Benefits can apply online at http://vabenefits.vba.va.gov/vonapp/main.asp. When you have completed your online application, please e-mail a copy of the verification page to JLB20@PITT.EDU.
In addition, apllicants need to foward the following information to the Office of Enrollment Services:

Procedures for Transfer Applicants for VA Education Benefits
Students who are transferring from another school will need to complete a "Change of Program or Place of Training." This is required to request a change of schools or to reinstate benefits at the same school after a break in enrollment. Apply online at http://vabenefits.vba.va.gov/vonapp/main.asp. When you have completed your online application, please e-mail a copy of the verification page to JLB20@PITT.EDU.

W.A.V.E. - Certifying Attendance for Monthly PaymentsStudents using benefits under Chapter 30, Chapter 1606, or Chapter 1607 must certify their attendance to the Department of Veterans Affairs at the end of each month in order to receive their monthly payment. Log in to W.A.V.E. at the Department of Veterans Affairs website: https://www.gibill.va.gov/wave.
Credit for Health and Physical Education CoursesStudents who have a DD Form 214 (Release or Discharge from Active Duty) verifying honorable discharge may be eligible to receive credit for physical education. Students should submit a copy of the original "member 4" copy of the DD214 to the Enrollment Services Office.
Credit for Military CourseworkVeterans may submit military transcripts with a request that work completed within the Armed Forces be considered for course credit at Pitt-Bradford. This includes work completed in formal service schools and training programs. Students should contact the Enrollment Services Office for information and instructions.
SOC and ConAPThe University of Pittsburgh at Bradford is a member of the Servicemembers Opportunity College (SOC) and participates in the Concurrent Admissions Program (ConAP) in cooperation with the United States Army.
Our Financial Aid Office takes Veterans' Education Benefits into consideration when awarding financial aid packages. Students should report their benefits to the Financial Aid Office. If the benefits were not reported when initially applying for financial aid, the student should inquire whether their account requires any adjustment.
