BEGINNINGS ORIENTATION for new freshmen. A two-day overnight program where students will get to know other freshmen in similar majors and have an opportunity to sign up with roommates for the school year.

MOVIN' ON NEW STUDENT ORIENTATION FOR RESIDENT & COMMUTER STUDENTS  new freshman move in and are introduce to the campus and their new fellow classmates.

TREE PLANTING CEREMONY Every new class plants a tree to commemorate their new start at the school and their growth throughout the years.  Occurs during Family and Alumni Weekend.

ANNUAL TRIP TO A PITT PANTHER FOOTBALL GAME Discounted student tickets and transportation will take you to and from the games.  

CLUB NIGHT A night when all the clubs gather to advertise their club or organization.  Meet the members of various clubs while learning their purpose on campus. 

TRIP TO CEDAR POINT Tickets are offered at a discounted ticket price for one last trip before the winter season occurs.

ALUMNI & FAMILY WEEKEND Meet current and past Pitt-Bradford students that come to see the campus in a weekend event. Invite your family to the festivities to see you after a long month of separation.

AIRBAND A comedian hosted lip syncing contest that is always the highlight of the year.  Student acts range from country and to rap. Winners receive for 2 free tickets to the winter formal.

GREEK WEEK A week in which the social fraternities and sororities of campus compete in a series of “Greek Olympics”.  Most events are set aside for Greeks only.

SIBS & KIDS DAY Bring your siblings up to spend the night with there favorite brother or sister! Activities are planned for siblings of all ages.

ANNUAL NYC TRIP The Communication Arts Department sponsors a this trip.  See a show, do some shopping,  and eat the fine NYC food.  Happens around Valentines Day for a romantic weekend.

MIDNIGHT MADNESS The first official practice day for college Basketball teams.  This event takes place at midnight with entertainment such as dancing and games with great prizes.

SUPERBOWL GAME PARTY The game is aired on a big screen in the Commons where students can get together and watch.

PRESIDENTIAL SWITCH For one day, the President of the University and the President of Student Government Association switch places to experience a day in each others’ lives.

BOWLING NIGHTS The campus sponsors many different bowling activities throughout the academic year.  Panthers Against Tobacco holds a smoke-free night with all-night bowling, snacks, and giveaways.  Big Brothers/Big Sisters holds “Bowl for Kids,” and there are weekly Pitt-nights where students can bowl at a discounted rate.

MEET THE CANDIDATES Candidates running for officer positions in Student Government Association give speeches to present their abilities and win your votes!  Available positions include SGA President, Vice President, Secretary, Treasurer, and Parliamentarian.

MIDNIGHT BREAKFAST Residence Life hosts a free breakfast at midnight for students.  Also at Midnight Breakfast the “Panther Chef” competition is held, our version of “Iron Chef”.

FREE FOOD DURING FINALS Take a break at night from studying during finals week and enjoy some free food at the Commons Café.

STUDENT PLAYS IN BROMELEY THEATER In previous years students have performed plays such as “Hamlet,” “Elephant Man,” and “Closer”.

OPEN FORUMS A chance for students to voice their concerns, opinions and questions directly to President Alexander and his cabinet.

BAILY'S BEADS UNVEILING Come enjoy a café atmosphere while students read poetry and prose excerpts from the campus’ literary magazine.

CULTURAL FESTIVALLearn about the food and dress of different cultures.  Previous Festivals included food and other items from Italy, Japan, and the Middle East, among other cultures around the world.

METZ DINNER EVENTS Seasonal events held by Metz food services in the Dining hall including Mardi Gras, Halloween, Western, and a 1950’s theme.  Great food, live performances, and a chance to win great prizes!

BLACK HISTORY MONTH & WOMEN'S HISTORY MONTH Celebrate with informational activities and sessions such as “A Walk Through Time” and the “African Herb Garden”.

HONORS CONVOCATION A time to honor those students who have exceeded academic expectations, also, a chance for student to present their research projects.

GREEK RUSH Students interested in becoming a member of a Greek organization can attend the “Rush” and learn more about Greek life.  Greek Rush is followed by New Member Orientation.  Freshmen are eligible to participate in rush during their second semester.

ANNUAL LEADERSHIP & SERVICE AWARDS CEREMONY Recognizes leaders within the campus, especially those who have contributed to clubs and organizations.

SKI NIGHTS Discounted trips to Holiday Valley for skiing are always a big hit among the students! 

ALMA MATER The offical anthem of the University of Pittsburgh an often played to open or closed various University functions.

GRADUATION CENTRAL Held annually in March, Graduation Central is a one stop shop for Seniors to get all their graduation items and information.

ATHLETIC HALL OF FAME Ceremony and wall in the Sport and Fitness Center that honors former Pitt-Bradford athletes.

CAREER NETWORKING SYMPOSIUM Held during Alumni and Family Weekend and features alumni speakers and an opportunity to network with several Pitt-Bradford alumni.

BACKPACK TO BRIEFCASE An annual career development seminar held every Spring term.  A variety of workshops including interviewing and resume writing techniques are offered.

PITT'S GOT TALENT Students show off their talents to a panel of judges and a student audience.

WINTER WEEK & WINTER FORMAL Held annually during the last week of January or first week in February.  Events include a Luau, skate night, broom hockey tournament and more!  Hightlight of the week is the annual Winter Formal held in Olean, NY. 

LAST CLASS FINAL BLASTHeld to celebrate the last day of classes in the Spring term.

COMMENCEMENT Graduation from college!  The seniors go through the ceremony with friends and family there to witness.
