Ann Robinson maintains responsibility for generalist pre- and post-award duties to facilitate submissions of proposals, post-award accounting of sponsored projects and ensures compliance with accounting principles, federal and sponsor regulations, and university policies and procedures.
Ann came to Pitt-Bradford in 2002 as a business consultant, working with clients and helping them create business plans, something she appreciated from personal experience. For five years, she owned and operated a daycare center -- one that she opened without a business plan. They experience, she said, taught her the value of such plans. She went on to become the director of the Business Resource Center in 2007, not only consulting with businesses, but also administering WEDnet, Pennsylvania's free training program, for the region.
"Dealing wtih WEDnet, I really knew the impacts that grants can have on a business or agency," she said. She began her current position in 2012.
Ann is a lifelong Girl Scout who was active in the organization while growing up in Oil City, then working for the scouts as part of the Keystone Tall Tree Council.
She and her husband, Bill, live in Gifford with a crazy Jack Russel terrier. Her son, Daniel, is a student at Pitt-Bradford.
