Academic Focus:
Dr. Melka's past teaching experiences include time at Michigan State University and Rutgers University in Camden, N.J. He enjoys teaching Mathematical Modeling, Differential Equations, Advanced Differential Equations, and Writing in the History of Mathematics.

Short Bio:
When he is not on campus, Dr. Melka writes articles with Biblical themes and he previously taught Bible study at the Federal Corrections Institute at McKean for five years. For six years, he edited and published a newsletter concerning Holistic Health. He likes the outdoors, and he spends the summers boating on Lake Chautauqua.

Research, Accomplishments, and Publications:
He has also completed a number of courses at Christ the King Seminary, and he has an ongoing interest in mathematics and theology, especially in concepts related to the Christian Trinity.  Dr. Melka researches mathematical modeling and dynamical systems.
