Professor Truman instructs didactic Fundamentals of Nursing, and Nursing Comprehensive I, II, and III in the ASN Program, as well as medical-surgical and leadership clinicals. Additionally, Dr. Truman instructs NUR 1451 Professional Nursing Role and NUR 1403 Advanced Clinical Practicum in the RN-BSN Program.
Jean came to Pitt-Bradford in 2003 as an adjunct clinical faculty. She joined the nursing faculty in 2004 as an assistant professor of nursing. Prior to coming to Pitt-Bradford, Jean worked as a critical care nurse, coordinator of staff education, and nursing supervisor. She currently serves as the ASN Program Coordinator.
Jean completed the coursework for her Doctorate of Nursing Practice degree from the Frances Payne Bolton School of Nursing at Case Western University, Cleveland, OH in December 2007. Her research focus was Identifying Predictors of NCLEX-RN Success and Failure in an ADN Program. Her other research interests include cardiac care nursing. Jean continues to work as a nursing supervisor at Bradford Regional Medical Center and is an active volunteer for the American Cancer Society. Jean enjoys spending her free time with her family.
