Course Description:
A survey of inorganic chemistry and carbohydrate, lipid, and protein chemistry. The course covers atomic structure, properties of matter, nature of chemical bonds and valence, chemical reactions and equilibria, acid-base and oxidation-reduction reactions, elementary radiochemistry, and some chemical arithmetic. Three hours of lecture and four hours of lab per week.
