Course Description:
The first half of Roman history traces Rome from Romulus and Remus (and the she-wolf) through the forty stabs of Caesar—the Republic shall succumb to a surfeit of Gracci, Mariuses, Sullas, Pompeys, and the like. The second half (the imperial one) succumbs to one-too-many orgies, poisonings, lions, and Christians and Germanic invasions from the North.
