Colleges for a Cure plans Paws for a Cure

Dog house
Dog house to be raffled

Colleges for a Cure is sponsoring Paws for a Cure - a fun-filled day with pets - from noon to 4 p.m. March 25.

The group's purpose is to bring awareness to all types of cancer (including those suffered by animals) and to allow everyone to do their part in finding a cure.

Activities for the event, which will take place at the Hangar Building on campus include a pet walk, raffle baskets, coloring stations and an Alex's Lemonade stand. Habitat for Humanity provided a dog house that will be raffled as well. There will also be activities for people to do with their pets, such as a paw-print craft station. Proceeds will benefit the McKean County SPCA.

For those who wish to visit the Habitat for Humanity ReStore used item sale taking place from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. the same day in the Richard and Ruth McDowell Sport and Fitness Center, pet sitting will be available.
