Photographs sought for fifth annual exhibit

The 5th Annual Pitt-Bradford Photography Exhibit will be on display from Jan. 13 through Jan. 27 in the KOA Art Gallery in Blaisdell Hall. This year's theme is “The Power of Creativity.”

Exhibition coordinators are looking for students, alumni, faculty, staff and community members to submit a photo for the upcoming exhibition.

 

Amateur photographers may enter a variety of categories, including The Power of Creativity, Photoshopped and Altered Shots, People, Nature and Animals, Travel, Vintage, Up Close, Different Material, Weather, Black and White, Candid, and Open. 

 

Categories that are open to everyone, including professional photographers are People's Choice and Best Shot for professionals, students and amateurs.

 

An additional award will be made for one photo selected to be featured in Pitt-Bradford's Portraits magazine. The winning photo will be chosen by the magazine staff and must be a high-resolution, horizontal photo of interest to Portraits readers that will be printed in the spring/summer issue of the magazine. Additionally, the Portraits award-winner will receive Pitt-Bradford items and a $25 gift certificate to The Panther Shop.

 

An opening reception will be held from noon to 2 p.m., Jan. 13, in the KOA Speer Lobby of Blaisdell Hall.

 

Submissions will be accepted between 11:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. from Jan. 4-10 at the Bromeley Family Theater Box Office. Photos must be at least 5-by-7 inches and matted, framed or both. Photos on canvas, metal or other materials are also welcome. Submissions are limited to one per person.
