2012: A corner infielder his first two years at Pitt-Bradford, Phelps stepped into the rotation last year and excelled on the mound going 4-3 with 3.14 ERA in 11 appearances … led the team with three complete-game efforts … second on the team in innings pitched with 48.2 … struck out 33 batters and allowed just 17 earned runs … in AMCC play, he went 2-2 with a 2.30 ERA … in his first career start, he tossed a complete-game gem against Medaille, allowing one run on six hits while striking out eight (March 28) … earned the win in game one of the AMCC Opening Round Series against Penn State Altoona after going the distance, surrendering two runs on six hits … hit .284 in 116 at bats … fourth on the team with 27 runs batted in … scored 23 runs and ranked second with 24 walks … hit a two-run home run and added another run-scoring single to finish with three RBIs against Swarthmore (March 9) … drove in two runs against D’Youville (April 17).
