The Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference tabbed
Pitt-Bradford senior Allan Miller as the men’s tennis Player of the Week,
according to the league office.
Miller enjoyed a strong week on the court, while posting an
overall record of 3-1. In a match versus Penn State Altoona, he was victorious
in No. 4 singles (6-4, 6-3) and No. 1 doubles (8-3).
He followed this performance by moving up a slot to No. 3
singles in a match against D’Youville where he went 7-6, 6-0 for the win. In
the No. 1 doubles flight, Miller was part of a close 8-6 defeat to D’Youville.
Miller and the rest of the Pitt-Bradford men’s tennis team
head into this weekend’s AMCC Conference Championships as the No. 3 seed, the
highest tournament seed in school history. The Panthers begin play on Saturday,
April 26, in Erie, Pa. First match is set for 11 a.m.
