The Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference tabbed two Pitt-Bradford student-athletes as their respective sport’s Player of the Week, as announced by the league office on Monday.

Senior pitcher Sydney Mosby was named the AMCC’s Pitcher of the Week following a series of strong performances in the circle for the Lady Panthers softball team. This is the third time this season Mosby has been awarded the honor and second in consecutive weeks. She earned the win in three complete games pitched and also threw two innings of relief.

Mosby tossed a complete game shutout against D’Youville and did not allow a single earned run and struck out 11. While pitching in game one versus Penn State Behrend, she struck out five to earn the win in another complete game thrown.

Her strong pitching led to a 6-2 week for the Lady Panthers, who currently sit tied at the top of the AMCC standings.

Freshman Konstantin Teverovskiy earned the AMCC’s Player of the Week honors for men’s tennis. In a match against Houghton, Teverovskiy swept his opponent in the No. 1 singles, 4-6, 6-4, 10-5. In the No. 1 doubles flight, he and teammate Allan Miller defeated their opponent 9-8, 8-6.

He followed this with a conference sweep versus Penn State Altoona. Teverovskiy again took his No. 1 singles match 6-1, 6-0. His doubles performance saw him take a second win, and fourth overall for the week, 8-3.
