The Pitt-Bradford swim teams fell to Alfred
University on Saturday afternoon. The men were defeated 116-60, while the women
suffered a 132-60 defeat.
The men captured three first-place finishes, beginning with
the 200 butterfly. Alex Renwick outswam the competition on his way to first
place. Renwick clocked in at a time of 2:10.86, defeating Alfred’s Sheldon
Vosburgh by nearly six seconds.
Richie Brand finished the 200 breaststroke in a time of
3:13.96 en route to his first victory of the season. UPB’s Travis Bellomo
clocked in just behind Brand at the 3:16.46 mark.
The men closed out their afternoon with a victory in the 200
free relay. The relay squad consisted of Eric Frank, Tyler Ozehowski, Jeff
Cattoni and Matt Patterson. Patterson, swimming the fourth-leg, reached the
wall with a time of 1:33.24.
The women also captured three events during the meet.
Jamie Hannold raced out to a big lead in the 500 free, and
was able to hang on for the win. She clocked in at 6:49.62.
It was all Pitt-Bradford in the 200 breaststroke. Katharine
O’Neil stole the show with her first place finish. She clocked in at 3:23.80. In
second was Jess Routzahn, who touched the wall at the 3:50.61 mark.
The women closed out their portion of the meet similar to
the men, with a win in the 200 free relay. The group consisted of Sam Smith,
Lindsay Frauen, Wehonna Toth and Elizabeth Prager.

when they travel to Washington, Pa., to take on Washington and Jefferson at 1
