Pitt-Bradford bowler Sarah Foley was named the Allegheny
Mountain Collegiate Conference’s Player of the Week as announced by the league
office on Monday.
Foley led the Panthers to back-to-back wins on Saturday,
Nov. 9, against conference-foe Mount Aloysius at the Byllye Lanes. Foley bowled
a 279 in the third game of the dual match, falling one frame short of a perfect
game after scoring a strike in nine out of ten frames.
The Rome, N.Y. native has led the Panthers to a 9-9 record
in the program’s inaugural season. Through nine total frames of dual match
competition, Foley is averaging a 187.
Foley and the Panthers travel to Altoona, Pa. this Saturday,
Nov. 16, for the squad’s first conference tournament of the season hosted by
Penn State Altoona. The quad-meet will consist of the Panthers, Penn State
Altoona, Medaille and Mount Aloysius.
