Women's tennis splits with Pitt-Greensburg and La Roche

 

The Pitt-Bradford women's tennis team split a pair of matches this weekend with Pitt-Greensburg and La Roche.

The Panthers fell to Pitt-Greensburg 9-0 Friday evening before defeating La Roche 6-3 Saturday morning.

Against Pitt-Greensburg, the Panthers lost all three doubles matches 8-2, and the Bobcats swept all six singles matches.

Pitt-Bradford responded with its first conference victory of the season against La Roche. In doubles play, Constance Cui and Shaina Reddinger won 8-0 and Sara James and Amy Thomas prevailed 8-4.

Stephanie Krall won her singles match 6-3, 6-0, Jamie VanAlstine won 7-5, 7-5, Cui triumphed 6-0, 6-2 and James was victorious 6-1, 6-1. Emily Fowkes lost her match in three sets and Reddinger was swept in straight sets.

Pitt-Bradford moves to 2-5 on the year and 1-5 in the AMCC. The Panthers will host Fredonia State Thursday.
