Buffalo State deals women's soccer first loss

Buffalo State dealt the Pitt-Bradford women's soccer team its first loss of the season Saturday morning, clipping the Panthers 1-0.

The Bengals outshot Pitt-Bradford 14-7 and pushed across the game's only goal in the 64th minute. Shaunta Pyles played a long ball from the midfield and scored.

The Panthers were limited to just three shots in the opening half and managed just four attempts in the final 45 minutes. Casey Schimpf was stopped in the final minute on her shot attempt, a potential game-tying kick.

Danielle Erdley suffered the loss in net despite posting six saves. Buffalo State held a slim 4-2 advantage in corner kicks.

Pitt-Bradford drops to 3-1 on the season and hosts Houghton Tuesday at 4 p.m.
