The Pitt-Bradford volleyball team opened the Neumann Knights Invitational Friday evening with a pair of wins over Rutgers-Camden and Bryn-Mawr.
The Panthers prevailed over Rutger-Camden in five sets 19-25, 25-22, 27-29, 25-23, 15-11 and dispatched of Bryn-Mawr 27-25, 25-23, 18-25, 25-22.
Taylor McMillen paced Pitt-Bradford with 17 kills against Rutgers-Camden, Kimberly Daughtery chipped in with eight and Kaitlin McCann added seven. Brittni Cumberland totaled 18 assists, and McMillen and Daughtery converted two service aces apiece.
Cumberland's ace in the fifth set won the match, and Kelsey Repke had a team-high 25 digs. Daughtery collected three blocks.
Against Bryn-Mawr, McMillen tallied 14 kills, including two with the fourth set tied at 22 apiece. McCann recorded seven kills, Cumberland totaled 19 assists and McMillen had three aces.
Repke led the defense with 14 digs and Jenessa Ceprish had 10. McCann notched three blocks and Cumberland had two.
Pitt-Bradford improves to 4-5 on the season and wraps up tournament Saturday against No. 18 Eastern and Richard Stockton.
