The Pitt-Bradford men's basketball team released its 2013-14 schedule Wednesday with the Panthers opening the season Friday, Nov. 15, at the 22nd annual McCarthy Tire Laurel Line Tournament hosted by Misericordia.
The Panthers' first-round opponent has yet to be announced, but tournament teams include Marywood (Pa.) and Bible Baptist (Pa.) as well as the host institution. The championship will take place the following day.
Pitt-Bradford will then hit the road for a pair of games against Westminster and Juniata during the third week of November. Its home opener is set for Tuesday, Nov. 26, versus Houghton.
Conference play opens Dec. 7 at Pitt-Greensburg, and the Panthers close out the pre-Christmas break portion of their schedule at home against Penn State Altoona.
The men return to action Dec. 29 at the Albright Holiday Tournament. They will meet Farmingdale State in the opening round and either Albright or York the following day.
League play resumes the first weekend of January at D'Youville before the Panthers return home for a pivotal three-game homestand with contests against defending AMCC champion Penn State Behrend and La Roche.
Pitt-Bradford travels to Hilbert and Mt. Aloysius during the second full week of the month, and it returns home Jan. 20 to entertain Medaille before visiting Behrend and Altoona to close out the month.
The early February schedule includes home games against Pitt-Greensburg and D'Youville and a stop at La Roche. The Panthers' final homestand includes matchups with Hilbert and Mt. Aloysius; Medaille and Franciscan close out the regular season.
Pitt-Bradford will be led by the duo of Keith Burgess and Brandon McClester in 2013-14. Burgess, a second-team all-AMCC performer last year, averaged 13 points, and McClester added 11 a game.
Britt Moore enters his third year at the helm and has led the Panthers to consecutive AMCC tournament appearances.
