Pitt-Bradford junior Aaron Cressley was named to the 2013 Virginia Valley Baseball League All-Star team.

Cressley, a pitcher for the New Market Rebels, will be joined by five of his teammates and represent the Southern Division in Sunday's All-Star contest in Harrisonburg, Va. The Rebels are currently in second place in their division and 18-9 overall.

In four starts for the Rebels, Cressley has an ERA of 1.17, ranking him in the top five in the league. In 23 innings pitched, he has collected 16 strikeouts and yet to allow more than an earned run in any start. He was named the Valley League Pitcher of the Day after tossing seven scoreless innings in his last outing on June 24.

The Corry, Pa., native was a second-team all-AMCC selection this spring for the Panthers after anchoring the pitching staff with a 2.25 ERA and 33 strikeouts.
