Pitt-Bradford softball player Brianna Stenta was named the AMCC Hitter of the Week Monday.
Stenta played a significant role in helping the Panthers advance to the AMCC tournament championship game for the first time since 2007. In eight games last week, she hit .526 (10-19) with three RBIs, two doubles, a stolen base and five runs scored.
On Saturday, the Ridgway, Pa., native was nearly perfect as Pitt-Bradford ripped off wins in three straight elimination games.
In consecutive walk-off victories against Pitt-Greensburg and Mount Aloysius, she was a combined 5-5 with three runs scored. Stenta followed that up by going 1-3 and scoring another run as the Panthers defeated second-seeded D'Youville to advance to the championship game.
