Pitt-Bradford junior softball player Sydney Mosby was named the AMCC Pitcher of the Week Monday. It is the second time this year she has received the award.
Mosby played a big role in helping the Panthers go 7-1 last week against AMCC opponents while surging to the top of the conference standings. In six appearances last week, she went 5-0 and recorded a save while compiling an ERA of 0.74. In 28.1 innings pitched, Mosby surrendered just 15 hits and totaled 32 strikeouts. In four of the six appearances, she did not allow a run.
At the plate, the Sagamore Hills, Ohio, native hit .360 with five RBIs and six runs scored. She leads the team with a .388 batting average and 18 runs driven in.
Mosby ranks first in the AMCC with a 1.20 ERA and 11 wins and is tied for first with 89 strikeouts.
It marks the fourth time in her career that she has received the conference's weekly honor.
