University of Pittsburgh Bradford
Softball to resume play after long layoff
Complete game notes

The Pitt-Bradford softball teams resumes play this week when it opens AMCC action at Penn State Behrend Thursday.

The Panthers have not played since St. Patrick’s Day, a span of more than two weeks. They are one of five AMCC teams yet to play a conference game due to the weather.

The team closed out its Spring Break trip by going 5-2 in its last seven games. Pitt-Bradford has won three straight, and the pitching staff has not allowed a run in 21 innings. In the team's final game in Fort Myers, Fla., junior Sydney Mosby fired a one-hitter in a 7-0 win over New England (Maine).

The Blue and Gold host Franciscan Saturday and Mount Aloysius the following day. Saturday's games against Franciscan will be the first on the new field since undergoing renovation last year. There will be a short ceremony prior to the start of the first game, which is scheduled to start at 1 p.m.

They travel to St. John Fisher next Monday for a non-conference matchup.
