D'Youville edges Panthers

D’Youville clipped the Pitt-Bradford men’s tennis team 5-4 Tuesday night in AMCC action.

The Panthers led 2-1 after doubles, but dropped four of six singles matches to suffer their third straight loss.

The No. 2 doubles team of Allan Miller and Dylan Nuzzo won 8-4, and the No. 3 tandem of Ryan Meyer and Josh Ellson triumphed 8-1. The top team of Ian Vaughan and Travis Scida fell 9-7 after leading 4-0.

In singles play, Vaughan won his match 6-3, 6-3 and Meyer prevailed 6-2, 6-2.

Pitt-Bradford drops to 2-5 on the year and 1-3 in the AMCC. The Panthers host Pitt-Greensburg Friday.
