Pitt-Bradford head swimming coach Ed Bahan will be hosting a 12-week advanced swimming class each day Monday through Friday from April 15 to July 5.
The class is designed for children eight-years old and up that have at least two-years of competitive swimming experience. The course allows athletes to experience different types of training techniques and exposes them to training for longer, more difficult collegiate events such as the 1,000 free, 1,650 free, 400 IM, 200 fly, back and breast strokes.
The course runs from 4:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. Monday through Friday in the Paul C. Duke Aquatic Center on campus. The cost is $190, and checks should be made payable to the University of Pittsburgh.
Bahan has led the Pitt-Bradford men’s team to three consecutive runner-up finishes at the AMCC championships and has been named the conference’s men’s and women’s Coach of the Year five times. He is a former six-time senior national competitor and a 1980 Olympic Trial participant with more than 25 years of coaching experience.
