A minor in legal studies is designed to provide students with an interdisciplinary understanding of the nature of law and crime, and how it’s applied from a variety of pedagogical perspectives within the behavioral and social sciences.

A minor in legal studies can be earned by completing the following 18 credits: (students must earn a C- or better in all minor courses and a GPA of 2.0 in the minor is required)

• Sociology of Deviance
• Law and the Courts
• Law and Social Control in Society
• Criminal Law and Procedure

• Constitutional Law
• Contemporary Issues in Courts, Policy, and Justice
• Psychology and Law
