For the first
half hour, visitors may visit displays to explore topics such as the YWCA;
issues facing those who are lesbian, gay, bisexual or transgender; women in the
media; women in the workplace; and Native American history.
At 7:30 p.m., a speaker from the
YWCA will talk about the gender inequalities within domestic violence. Nicki
Kellogg, a criminal justice major from Cuba, N.Y., will give a brief overview
about human trafficking. Dr. Dani Nier-Weber, director of the Writing Center and
assistant professor of composition at Pitt-Bradford, will speak about women in
the workplace; and Tonya Ackley, coordinator of community engagement and the
Harriett B. Wick Chapel at Pitt-Bradford, will talk about gender stereotypes.
