The Division of Continuing Education and Regional Development will hold an all-inclusive turkey hunting seminar on Saturday, Feb.
23.
Dick Anderson , Quaker Boy-sponsored
national turkey call champion, will lead the seminar. Anderson is a
Pennsylvania native who has been hunting the woods for 31 years.
The seminar will be held from 12:30
to 4:30 p.m. in Room 162 Swarts Hall on Pitt-Bradford’s campus. The cost will
be $30.
During the four-hour seminar,
Anderson will cover everything turkey hunters need to know, including the most
effective ways to locate birds and how to use and call birds using boxes, slate
and mouth calls. Participants will learn dos and don’ts of hunting, safety in
the field and what type of clothing is best. This clinic will be beneficial for
both experienced hunters and those new to the woods.
