University of Pittsburgh Bradford
Spring open houses

Pitt-Bradford will hold spring open houses for prospective students on Saturday, March 17, and on Saturday, April 21.

Registration for each event begins at 12:30 p.m. in the Frame-Westerberg Commons.

During the open houses Pitt-Bradford faculty, staff and students are available to help answer any questions about the university that prospective students may have. A glimpse of student life and student services will be offered as well as information about admissions, financial aid, scholarship opportunities, and a tour of the Pitt-Bradford campus.

“There are many unique and different students who attend this event,” said Vicky Pingie, associate director of admissions at Pitt-Bradford. “There are students who have already applied, those who have been admitted, transfer students, students referred from the Pittsburgh campus, seniors in high school who have not yet applied, and even juniors and sophomores in high school who have just started the college search process.”

Pingie said the needs of all these individual groups of students will be addressed by the different informational sessions that will be offered throughout the event.

A panel of students will talk about college life and their experiences at Pitt-Bradford. The panel for Saturday includes Brittany Thomas, a public relations major from Parkesburg;  Yara Elbeshbishi, a chemistry major from Montgomery, Md.; Prasanti Babu, a biology major from Rockville, Md.; Charlie Burdine, a sport and recreation management major from Philadelphia; Daniel Robinson, a nursing major from Gifford;  and Liz Tillman, a human relations major from Appleton, N.Y.

A faculty forum will be held in the Mukaiyama University Room in the Frame-Westerberg Commons during the registration period to allow students to learn about college academics and specific programs offered at Pitt-Bradford.

After the presentations, student ambassadors will conduct tours of the campus.

Prospective students attending an open house will have their application fee waived.
