Office of the President

Dr. AlexanderWelcome to the University of Pittsburgh at Bradford.  Pitt-Bradford is a vibrant and exciting place to live, learn, and grow and is recognized annually by national publications as one of the best baccalaureate colleges in this region of the country.  Students who complete programs of study at Pitt-Bradford earn the prestigious University of Pittsburgh degree; and for that reason, many regard an education at Pitt-Bradford as one of the best investments they can make, especially in today’s economy.

Ensuring the academic success of our students is our single most important priority.  To that end, we offer an outstanding array of academic programs in a wide range of fields, including business management, biology, broadcast communications, criminal justice, education, hospitality management, nursing, and psychology.  Our faculty are strongly committed to the liberal arts and promote a teaching and learning model that involves students in undergraduate research and real-world learning experiences.  A signature quality of the collegiate experience at Pitt-Bradford is the accessibility of our faculty and ensuing high quality of interaction between faculty and students.

Visitors to Pitt-Bradford notice immediately our meticulously landscaped campus, enclosed on all sides by scenic hills.  For a university centered on the natural environment, the Allegheny National Forest and the integrated system of hiking trails and streams provide the perfect backdrop.  Within an easy driving distance from campus are several cities that feature arts (museums, theater, galleries, and music), various professional sports, and opportunities to shop and dine.

We are proud of our students, strong academic programs, dedicated faculty and staff, beautiful campus, and the pristine beauty of our geographic location.  I hope that you will want to be a part of our intimate campus community, and I look forward to personally welcoming you on campus.
