The Pitt-Bradford softball team is going to Disney World where the Lady Panthers open their 40-game schedule on Sunday with the first of 10 games in the Orlando (FL) area.
"The tournament in California changed dates this year so we were unable to go," said Tina Phillips, Pitt-Bradford's sixth year (116-69-1) head coach. "Instead we're going to Florida where we'll face sixth-ranked Cortland State and No. 16 Rhode Island College."
After winning four of the previous five Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference titles, the Lady Panthers (13-19, 10-8) were an uncharacteristic two-and-barbeque in the AMCC Tournament last season.
