Each year, outstanding players, coaches and other supporters are inducted into the Athletic Hall of Fame. The induction ceremony is held annually during Alumni and Family Weekend.
We encourage you to submit nominations. Send your nominations to the athletic department by March 31.
You can nominate someone if he/she:
- is a graduate and was a full-time student for at least two years.
- is a letter winner in at least one varsity sport
- hasn't participated in a college sport for at least thre years
Coaches, administrators or others on campus who have supported the athletic programs are also eligible.
If someone is nominated but not chosen, he or she will automatically be considered for the next five years. Afterward, he or she needs to be renominated.
2009 Hall Inducts Redman and Walker
Calista Walker and Shaun Redman were inducted into the University of Pittsburgh at Bradford Athletic Hall of Fame on Oct. 3.
Walker was a two-year starter on the softball team in 2004 and 2005.
The second baseman from Towanda owns the highest career batting average (.415) at Pitt-Bradford. Walker's 64 hits and 20 doubles in her senior year rank first, and her .474 average as a senior is third on the school's list.
Walker was named to the Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference First Team in 2005 and made the AMCC Second Team in 2004. She also scored 610 points as a three-year starter on the Pitt-Bradford women’s basketball squad.
Redman played on the men’s basketball team from 1996 to 1999.
The 6-8 center from Fillmore (N.Y.) ranks fourth at Pitt-Bradford in career free throws made (363), is fifth in career field goals made (491) and is seventh in career points (1,346) in men's basketball.
Redman was named to the NAIA Northeast Region First Team in his sophomore year, and to the AMCC First Team and ECAC South Region Second Team in his junior season. Following his senior year, Redman was named assistant men's basketball coach for the 1999-2000 campaign.
