Course Description:

Why do countries go to war and why do they choose peace and cooperation? These are the fundamental questions addressed in world politics. Clarity here requires understanding of how domestic and international politics differ how states' capabilities and motives vary; how political, economic, and social structures shape decisions; and how ideas and leaders have an influence.
