AES/PHEAA

Even though AES/PHEAA has temporarily suspended making new loans, the agency’s primary function will still be as a state grant agency. PHEAA will continue to award state grants to eligible students who have filed a FAFSA by the May 1 deadline.

FEDERAL STAFFORD STUDENT LOANS

The amount of money you can borrow through the federal Stafford Student Loan program has increased. Please view the new amounts here.

FEDERAL PLUS (Parent Loan for Undergraduate Students) Loans

As of July 1, 2008, if you are a parent approved for a Federal PLUS Loan you will not have to begin paying it back until your son or daughter has graduated from college.  In the past, your loan would go into repayment of both principle and interest sixty (60) days after the second disbursement.
