Communications Committee assists with getting information out to all staff members regarding events and information of general interest; with Council approval, may prepare and submit articles to the SAC newsletter; appoints a member, or serves collectively, as Historian. We are considering a monthly or quarterly newsletter. Members: Scott Elliott, Bernie Picklo, Jim Pascarella, and Kimberly Weinberg, staff representative Cindy Nowacki.
Elections Committee secures an eligible slate of candidates each spring; initiates, publicizes, and conducts UPBSA elections; devises election guidelines. Members: Past president & chair Christina Graham, Emily Parana, Melissa Stiles, Roxie Vanderpoel, Laurel Phillips, and Joelle Warner, and staff representative Margot Myers .
Events Committee promotes goodwill among staff, faculty, and students via college-wide events. This committee also oversees an August program for new staff members. Some of our events include the golf outing, bowling, Panther Pride Days, Elf Fund Participation, and the Women of Promise. Members: Lynette Gerner, Alan Hancock, Kim Rublee, and Steve Williams, and staff representative Bret Butler.
Staff Welfare Committee promotes health, safety, and security for all members of the College community; identify needs and make recommendations; support staff through grievance procedures. This committee also promotes the Weight Race and community involvement. Members: Leslie Kallenborn, Jean Luciano, Denise Perkins, and Ann Robinson, and staff representative Christina Marrone.
