A Smart Educational Investment
"The University of Pittsburgh is a very well-known and respected school that I will be very proud to have a degree from. I feel that my education here will allow me great opportunities for graduate school and for future employment." -- Lisa Moeke, an environmental studies major from Bradford.
As Lisa said, the value of a Pitt-Bradford education -- and a degree from the University of Pittsburgh -- goes far beyond dollars and cents. It influences your career, your dreams and your future.
That’s why we do our best to keep Pitt-Bradford affordable. We keep our tuition and housing fees competitive to other area institutions. And we offer a wide variety of merit- and need-based scholarships to qualified students.
The best part? It’s working. In fact, more than 91 percent of our students receive some form of financial aid through grants, loans, work study, or scholarships.
For the 2008-09 school year, the average award was $13,500, meaning most students paid much less than you might expect for a quality education and a degree from a world-renowned institution.
And, for the 2009-10 year, there will be no tuition increase.
To help you begin the financial aid process, we've created a timeline, and an informational slide show. You can also refer to Your Official Guide to Financial Aid for 2009-10. We hope you'll find it helpful.
