Short Bio:
Margot, originally from Virginia, moved to Bradford in 1996. Margot has been the manager for the TRiO SSS program since 2005 when the program first began. She enjoys working with the students as they strive to excel. In addition, Margot is adjunct faculty for Pitt-Bradford and the University of Pittsburgh’s School of Social Work program on the Bradford campus and is a field instructor for the School. Before coming to Pitt-Bradford, Margot worked as a clinical social worker with individuals and families in the surrounding communities and schools. Margot also is interested in Animal Assisted Therapy and has received training and presented on the topic. Currently, Margot is working on her Trauma Counseling Certification at the University of Buffalo and has also been involved in Crisis Counseling and Crisis Response. Margot serves on the YWCA-Bradford Board of Directors, is actively involved in board leadership of the Pennsylvania Association of TRiO Programs (PA TRiO) and the Mid-Eastern Atlantic Educational Opportunity Program Personnel (MEAEOPP). Margot enjoys spending time with friends and family, including her dog. In her spare time, she likes to kayak, snowshoe, hike, camp, travel and enjoy the natural setting of Northwest Pennsylvania.
