Academic Focus:
Dr. Steinberg teaches a broad range of philosophy courses. His classes include: Introduction to Philosophy, Introduction to Logic, Philosophy and Public Issues, Ethics in Health Care, Environmental Ethics, Philosophy of Religion, and History of Modern Philosophy.
Short Bio:
Dr. Steinberg’s research focuses primarily on metaphysics and philosophy of mind, but he works on problems within philosophy of religion and moral theory as well. He has published a number of articles recently. These include: “Dispositions and subjunctives” “Why an unsurpassable being cannot create a surpassable world,” “Telomeres and the ethics of human cloning,” “Pierre may be ignorant but he’s not irrational,” and “Disembodied minds and the problem of identification.”
