We're looking forward to meeting you at Beginnings in July. Here are a few things you may need to know before you come:
Campus HousingIf you're going to be living on campus this fall, we ask that you stay overnight in campus housing at Beginnings. That way, you can discuss college life with Beginnings counselors and make new friends. If you'll be commuting to campus this fall, you're welcome to stay overnight, too. But, if you would rather not, please contact us ahead of time and let us know. You can call us at 814-362-7650 or e-mail us at email@example.com.
What to Bring You'll need a sleeping bag or blanket and a pillow since bed linens will not be available. Don't forget your personal items like soap, shampoo, a toothbrush, a towel and a washcloth. It's also a good idea to bring an alarm clock -- you don't want to sleep through any morning sessions -- and comfortable clothing.
CostYour overnight housing and meal costs will be covered by the $90 student orientation fee that will be on your fall bill. So, you won't have to pay anything at Beginnings.
Program for Parents and Family MembersWe have a number of sessions scheduled just for them. They will receive lunch and breakfast at no cost. We will also make sure they have a list of area restaurants, which will give them an idea of where they can get a bite to eat in the evening. Your family members can also contact the motels in the area to arrange for their stay.
If You Get to Campus EarlyIf you arrive the day before your scheduled Beginnings session, we will provide on-campus housing and breakfast the next morning. If you plan to arrive in Bradford the day before your assigned date, please contact our Office of Residential Life and Housing at 814-362-7650 or firstname.lastname@example.org at least a week in advance.
Transportation From the Airport or Bus StationIf you plan on arriving at the Bradford Regional Airport or the Bradford Bus Station, give us a call and we'll pick you up. If you will need a ride to campus, please let us know in advance by calling 814-362-7650 or e-mailing email@example.com.If you're driving, these instructions will help you.
Campus PoliciesWhile you are our guest, we do ask that you follow the university's Student Code of Conduct and these special policies:
